Created in Mexico in 2017 in oil on canvas, Enigma II belongs to UMBRAL, a series that examines awakening, intuition, and the beginning of new stages. Within this body of work, painting becomes a place where certainty gives way to observation, inviting the viewer to engage with the work through attention rather than explanation. 

Throughout ALPA’s practice, abstraction is not employed to conceal meaning, but to preserve its openness. Rather than arriving at definitive conclusions, each work offers a space in which different experiences, memories, and perspectives may coexist.
