Created in Mexico in 2021 in mixed media on paper with gold leaf, Ámbar belongs to VESTIGIOS, a series that reflects on the traces left by experience and the ways in which memory continues to inhabit the present. Through the integration of diverse materials, the series expands ALPA’s investigation of abstraction beyond painting alone, embracing the physical qualities of each medium as an essential part of the work.

The incorporation of gold leaf introduces a surface that responds to changing conditions of light, allowing the work to reveal different visual qualities throughout the day. Ámbar is unique, signed by the artist, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
